As you would know we’re working very hard recording our second album for Code666. Although we had some misfortune and line-up changes the last couple of years we never stopped writing music. As a result we have written more music to fit one album and some of it is quite different than stuff we opt for the follow-up of ‘Terminal World Perspective’.

We decided to record those tracks alongside the recording of the new album and we’re going to release them on a regular bases. That’s right, brand new material from CHD free of charge! Le combo hollandais de Metal extrême electro/indus Control Human Delete prépare actuellement son deuxième album qui sortira sur le label Code 666. Malgré des changements de line up importants, le groupe a continué de composer de la musqiue durant les deux dernières années, il en résulte une quantité importante de matériel, plus que pour un album. Les musiciens ont donc décidé de mettre en ligne (libre DL) les morceaux qui ne seront pas sur l'album principal, dans le but d'avoir un album alternatif en ligne en libre DL.

Control Human Delete new album 'The Prime Mover' is Control Human Delete's second album and follows up 'Terminal World Perspective' from 2007. The process of creation has been nerve-wrecking and destructive, but therefore also ended up being open minded and boundary breaking. These are the ingredients that are clearly

Extreme metal warriors HATE have just finished recording their new opus entitled “Solarflesh”. The follow-up to highly acclaimed “Erebos” (2010) will be released early next year via Napalm Records. The band’s front-man ATF Sinner comments: “We have just done mixes and Mastering on the new material; our first album for Napalm (Records). I
believe “Solarflesh” is the most insane and haunting record we’ve done thus far. It’s nothing but pure darkness… We’re extremely satisfied with this 61 minutes’ monster (12 songs) that we’ve put to life. Now we’re working on a documentary about creation of “Solarflesh”, its ideological sides, the band’s history, touring etc. It’s going to be much more than just a studio report. We want it to be an in-depth interview revealing some unknown facts, hidden meanings etc. I’m sure people will find it interesting” More info on the upcoming album will come very soon.

There are just three songs remaining to be finalized, that means to be mixed to fit the other songs. It´s quite a lot of work, and as we´re doing this besides our real-life jobs, it takes a while. But it will be worth the wait, it will blast!

Pine-scented black metallers Fen have wrapped up work on their third full-length album, while also renewing their contract with Code666 Records for a further three records.
The forthcoming album will be called Dustwalker; a release date and more info will be released very soon. Frontman, The Watcher, speaks exclusively to ZT; "Dustwalker" is a starker, more focused musical expression than the previous Fen releases. With this new album we have distilled the key elements of our sound into a journey through abandonment and dislocation – both from the self and the material world.”
Regarding the contract renewal, The Watcher states; “We have been happy with the way we’ve been treated by Code666 in respect of the first three albums, and were impressed by the enthusiasm that the label has always shown for Fen and the faith they have placed in us, so it was logical for us to continue a relationship that was obviously working well”.

The new long-awaited album of MUNRUTHEL includes a material, which has been on the stock from the moment of “Epoch of Aquarius” issue in 2006. The new album’s musical canvas is decorated not only with atmospheric dabs inherent in early works of the project’s author, but also with hard strokes of guitar riffing shown on “Oriana’s Tales” for the first time and fully revealed on “Epoch of Aquarius”. Though, certainly, "CREEDamage" album will be more interesting to the admirers of heavy guitar sound being faceted both with powerful orchestral arrangements, and graceful web of atmospheric accords. At present, from all appearances, “CREEDamage” is the most mature work of the project, and its sound production quality may be compared with the best representatives of the genre.

Guest vocalists, whose contribution MUNRUTHEL would like to mark out, are well-known to admirers of hard music in general, and Pagan music in particular, are Masha “Scream” Arkhipova (ARKONA, Russia) and Wulfstan (FOREFATHER, Great Britain).

The album was recorded in two languages - Russian and English - the poetic translation into English was provided by a translator/journalist Sergey "AR" Pavlov, who collaborated in this field with such bands as ALKONOST, SVYATOGOR, TRIGLAV, SILENTIUM, etc.

The albums’s conception is connected with the topics touched by the author from the beginning of his solo activity (1995), namely it concerns his boundless love to Mother-Nature – as an embodiment of native, natural Belief and primordial, Pagan Outlook. And the track "Carpathians' Shield" is dedicated to the memory of the last known molphar (traditional sorcerer by birth in Carpathian culture) Mikhail Nechay (24.02.1930 – 14.07.2011), who was killed in summer of 2011 by a christian zealot.

WINTERSUN mainman Jari Mäenpää (formerly of ENSIFERUM) singer has issued the following update on the band's long-awaited second album, titled "Time".

"'Time' is going to be two albums, titled 'Time I' and 'Time II'. We made this decision simply because of few reasons:

* All the 80 minutes of material won't fit on a regular CD and we didn't want to cut anything out.
* We want you to be able to hear new material sooner and not wait any longer and we want to go on tour sooner.
* The music is very full and complex, so listening this kind of 'hard listening (not easy listening)' material straight for 80 minutes is a bit too much (even for me).
* Both albums will be approximately. nice 40 min epic packages of fireworks.
* We like the idea of releasing two albums within one year, so the band will stay more visible longer, which is important in these 'modern times.' No more years of silence for us!

"'Time I' mix is set to be finished by July, mastered in the beginning of July and released in early fall of 2012. 'Time II' will be released in 2013. Conception of album artworks, videos, live shows incl. rehearsals will keep us busy during the summer and I'll also continue mixing 'Time II' meanwhile. We'll be hopefully posting some videos and teasers during summer. Also some new live show announcements soon, so stay tuned for those!

Wintersun sortira son deuxième album, intitulé "Time I" (Track listing ci-dessus), en fin d'année 2012, via Nuclear Blast Records. Après huit ans d'attente, Jari Mäenpää nous annonce la sortie de deux albums. D'après Jari Mäenpää, cette décision a été prise, car l'ensemble du materiel ne tient pas sur un CD normal, la durée totale de la musique dépassant les 80 minutes. En ce sens, les deux albums auront une durée d'environ 40 minutes chacun, et s'intituleront respectivement "Time I" et "Time II". Le mixage et le mastering de "Time I" seront terminés en juillet. Le second volet "Time II" sortira en 2013.

"Time I", the long-awaited new CD from Finland's WINTERSUN, will be released on October 19 via Nuclear Blast Records.

Italy's black/rock/doom metal outfit FORGOTTEN TOMB will release its sixth full-length album , entitled "...And Don't Deliver Us From Evil", on October 30 in Europe and on November 6 in North America via Agonia Records. The CD is now available for streaming in its entirety until October 22 using the SoundCloud player below.

More powerful and straight to the point, the CD begins where its antecedent — "Under Saturn Retrograde" — melodically ended. The directions of the new release may vary however over the last year's offering, as the band submerges into more dark, horror-like regions and underground scenery, serving us a more steady and mature recording. FORGOTTEN TOMB is still obscure, melodic and still follows its own negative path — continuously experiencing with sound and imaginativeness. But as fans of the formation may already know, the Italian outfit is likely to surprise the listener during the long and complex compositions, smuggling mainstream-music elements and wise song-structures into the outwardly seamy and fearsome metal landscapes, making the obvious music sub-genres sound not that obvious anymore.

According to FORGOTTEN TOMB leader and songwriter Ferdinando "Herr Morbid" Marchisio, "...And Don't Deliver Us From Evil" is the most personal album he has written since 2004's "Love's Burial Ground" and it explores the darkest corners of his mind like never before, making it without any doubt one of the band's more tortured and twisted offerings.

"...And Don't Deliver Us From Evil" was recorded in Elfo Studio in Italy by Daniele Mandelli and was mastered at Finnvox Studios (IMPALED NAZARENE, AMORPHIS, CHILDREN OF BODOM, FINNTROLL, HIM).

"True" Norwegian black metal act KOLDBRANN will release its third full-length album, "Vertigo", on January 22 in North America and January 25 in Europe via Season Of Mist's Underground Division.

On November 16, KOLDBRANN will unleash "Totalt Sjelelig Bankerott", a seven-inch single strictly limited to 300 copies worldwide, including a song from "Vertigo" and an exclusive B-side entitled "Kasjtjeijs Svøpe". The single will also be available digitally.

The video for "Totalt Sjelelig Bankerott", directed by Effektor and featuring guest vocals by Erlend Hjelvik from KVELERTAK, can be seen below.

People at Season of Mist told me that back in the day you signed a contract for several albums, so you should still release another one to fulfill the agreement. So I guess there will be another album in the future. Is this true? Is that contract still active?

Of course! And what's more, I'll read your mind and answer to the question you're going to ask me. I'm going to be a clairvoyant: Don't you want to know if I can give you some further information on this? Well, you're lucky. Nowadays, after all these years, we're finishing the composition for the new Arcturus album, specifically, we're working in the keyboards and indeed, the new album will be released by the French label Season of Mist. So answering back to your question, yes, this new album is the one that would finish the contract we signed back in the day with them. Some date? I'd like to see that released next January 2013, if possible during the week of the 20th or so. Let's see if it's possible!

It can’t have escaped the attention of any keen fan or observer of the Black Metal scene that, following a few years of relative inactivity, iconic Norwegians CARPATHIAN FOREST have this year once again begun performing live and have already announced some festival appearances for 2013.

Rumours as to why the band had gone to ground, and indeed, if there was even any band left at all, have been rife. Now, however, an official statement issued by founder Nattefrost, has succinctly made clear the reasons for CARPATHIAN FOREST’s absence from the scene and has once and for all laid to rest any speculation about the band’s future. Quoting the title of the band’s fifth album, the frontman candidly stated: “I have more or less been off the road and caught in a downward spiral for nearly a decade. Now clean and rehabilitated, I have been living in Telemark for more than a year – a family man and father. And once again I am working on music. Communication and chemistry within CARPATHIAN FOREST have never been better so “Fuck You All!!!”

The lineup, which remains unchanged from when the band was active, consists of of Nattefrost on vocals, Tchort and BloodPervertor on guitars, Vrangsinn on bass and Kobro on drums, and the members have been regularly rehearsing together not just for the live appearances, but also in preparation for recording new material, of which there is plenty according to Nattefrost. The band has also just signed with the UK-based Mythology Agency for all European appearances, and anyone wishing to book the band should contact mark@mythology-live.com.
