Two tracks from the upcoming live God Seed DVD have been posted on YouTube.
The footage was shot at Wacken Open Air 2008 and features session players Nick Barker and Ice Dale. The DVD will include addition bonus footage from Hellfest 2009, Inferno Festival 2008, and Horten Fest 2008, and more.

The God Seed DVD will be released at a future date on Indie Recordings.

Norway's black metal masters URGEHAL (featuring ex-KVIST members and current members of VULTURE LORD, CREST OF DARKNESS, ASMEGIN, FORGOTTEN REALMS, and BLOODSWORN) will release their new album, "Ikonoklast", on November 16 via Season of Mist's Underground Activists division. According to a press release, the band's sixth opus "offers impressive dynamics from doom-laden solemnity to furious outbreaks. An unholy groove adds to the malignant atmosphere permeating this Norwegian masterpiece. With their roots tight in the past URGEHAL now reach for the future of black metal! None shall resist!"

Norwegian black metallers DARKTHRONE will enter the studio in late October to complete the recording process for their new album for an early 2010 release. The band's Nocturno Culto (real name: Ted Skjellum) states, "We've had a long summer break now and it's time to face winter/death."

"Dekadens" will be be released in September. The MCD version will be out through Osmose Productions, and the MLP version will be released through Elitmusik. The music has been mastered, all of the artwork has been finished, and everything is on its way to the printing plant. As we've proclaimed before, we're all extremely satisfied with this release, and we all feel that this has turned out to be Lifelover's finest effort to date.
The respose from the select few that have already heard the material has been absolutely overwhelming, and we feel confident that it will be received just as well by all of you.

We will be publishing a little preview from the MCD here on MySpace shortly.

The reigning kings of technical, historically-themed brutality NILE have revealed the track listing and artwork for their latest state-of-the-death-metal-art release, "Those Whom the Gods Detest". Produced and mixed by Neil Kernon (NEVERMORE, CANNIBAL CORPSE, QUEENSRŸCHE), along with a stellar drum-production job by Erik Rutan (CANNIBAL CORPSE, VITAL REMAINS, GOATWHORE), "Those Whom the Gods Detest" features the band's strongest production and perhaps its best material to date! The cover artwork was created by Michal "Xaay" Loranc, whom NILE guitarist/vocalist Karl Sanders had previously worked with on his second solo album, "Saurian Exorcisms".

Sanders told Revolver magazine earlier in the year that the band's sixth full-length album will likely be NILE's most eclectic offering to date. "We're going to some very unexpected places," he said. "I've been listening to some oud music [the oud is a Middle Eastern lute — Ed.], Iranian music, and some Hindu stuff, and that stuff's definitely rubbing off on the new songs."

Greek extreme metal veterans ROTTING CHRIST have entered Lunatach Studios, located at Mount Olympus — said to be Greece's highest mountain and the home to the Gods of Greek mythology — to begin recording their new album for an early 2010 release. The group, which spent more than a year writing material for the follow-up to 2007's "Theogonia", is promising that the new CD will "have the heavy soulful load to move the band a step forward from their previous output," according to a posting on the ROTTING CHRIST MySpace page. "The well-established style and melodies of the band as well as the so many artistically surprises that always exist with each band's release guarantee their fans a soulful trip."

"Densetsu", a brand new track from SKITLIV — the brainchild of former MAYHEM singer Maniac — is available for free download.

"Densetsu" comes off SKITLIV's long-awaited debut album, "Skandinavisk Misantropi", which will be released on October 19 in Europe and November 17 in the U.S. via the Season of Mist label. The eight-track CD features guest vocal appearances by David Tibet (CURRENT 93), Attila Csihar (MAYHEM, SUNN0)))) and Gaahl (GOD SEED, GORGOROTH, TRELLDOM, GAAHLSKAGG, WARDRUNA).

Commented Maniac: "'Skandinavisk Misantropi' has been a long time in coming, but that's the way I work. I had no intention of letting it appear until the result satisfied me personally." Regarding his signing with Season of Mist, he said, "I had never lost touch with the guys at Season of Mist after I left MAYHEM, and when they said they were interested in releasing my new album, it seemed very natural to continue working with them."

"Skandinavisk Misantropi" is the first studio album from SKITLIV following the release of the "Amfetamin" live CD, which was a one-off collaboration with the Cold Spring label.

Rounding SKITLIV's lineup of Maniac on guitars and vocals, SHINING's Niklas "Kvarforth" Olsson on guitar and backing vocals, and Ingvar on guitar, for the recording of "Skandinavisk Misantrpi" are Tore Moren (JORN, CARNIVORA, ex-ARCTURUS) on bass, and Dag Otto (HAUST) on drums. Moren also produced the album along with Maniac.

The brand new album "Goetic Experience" comes with blackened and inclement atmosphere as it is supposed to be. 70 minutes of the true mysterious dark rituals in the eternal chaos!

(Stockholm, SWEDEN) - Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL, the Ineffable Kings of Darkness, and one of the biggest bands today has finalized more details on their upcoming album. They are finally ready to reveal the full track listing of their brand new album, "ANGELUS EXURO PRO ETERNUS"!!!



The new masterpiece, which is set for a November 18th 2009 release via Regain Records, was recorded at Abyss Studio in Grangärde (Sweden) with famed engineer and legendary producer Peter Tägtgren (Pain, Hypocrisy). It includes a total of 9 songs. Musically it is the bands most technical and varied album to date. And while still being true to their roots, they have taken a great step forward in the evolution of their brand of fine Swedish black metal. “ANGELUS EXURO PRO ETERNUS” is, from the very beginning to the end, a hell ride you simply don’t want to miss!



The album will be released in a couple of different formats.
