German progressive black metallers SECRETS OF THE MOON will release their new album, "Privilegivm", on September 11 in Germany and September 14 in the rest of Europe via Prophecy Productions. According to the band. The CD's cover art, which was designed by "France's best media artist" Metastazis, can be viewed below.

"Privilegivm" was was produced by Markus Stock and was mastered by Peter in De Betou at Stockholm, Sweden's Tailor Maid Production.

Guitarist Lord Ahriman of the Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL has issued the following update:

"Finally! Today, July 10 we will enter the Abyss studio together with producer Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN) to begin the recording of a new, yet-untitled, full-length album. Not sure how long it’ll take to finalize and nail the new stuff, but we’re roughly expecting to spend the next four-five weeks or so in the studio.

HYPOCRISY, the Swedish extreme metal band led by guitarist/vocalist Peter Tägtgren (also of PAIN), has set "A Taste Of Extreme Divinity" as the title of its new album, due on October 23 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. Peter states, "I'm at the end of the recording and mixing; a few songs left to sing on. The rest are done mixing-wise. It's just been too busy with touring and recording bands, and I didn't wanna burn myself out totally." He adds, "We're happy [with] the result so far; it got everything a HYPO album should have in our own point of view."

German Black Metal Command Darkmoon Warrior finished the recordings to their “Crown of snakes” titled full length album, which will be released through the World Terror Committee. The CD version (the vinyl version will be released at a later point) of the 52 minutes longing album will be available for the first time at the “Under the black Sun” Festival, where the Band will play their first official concert, 13 years after their founding.

INSIDIOUS DISEASE (formerly INSIDIOUS), the international metal project featuring members of DIMMU BORGIR, NAPALM DEATH, OLD MAN'S CHILD and MORGOTH, has posted another new song, "Nuclear Salvation", on the band's MySpace page.

French black metallers TEMPLE OF BAAL will release their long-awaited third album, "Lightslaying Rituals", on November 27 via Agonia Records. It will be made available as a CD, limited digipack and limited LP.

"Lightslaying Rituals" was recorded at Hybreed Studios by Andrew Guillotin (GLORIOR BELLI). Visual aspect was handled by MKM (ANTAEUS, AOSOTH) and Vertigo Photography.

Swedish black metallers MARDUK will release their eleventh album, "Wormwood", in September via Regain Records (the exact release date has not yet been announced). The CD was recorded at Endarker Studios in Norrköping, Sweden with engineer/producer Magnus Devo Andersson. The album's release will be followed by a world tour, dubbed "Funeral Nation 2009/2010", which will kick off in Europe.

Swedish death metal veterans UNLEASHED have inked a deal with Nuclear Blast Records for the release of their upcoming tenth album. The band says, "We are very much looking forward to this new cooperation! The recording of the album is scheduled for October/November this year."

After months of intense songwriting, German black metallers DARK FORTRESS entered V. Santura's Woodshed Studio a couple of days ago to start laying down the drum tracks for their sixth, as-yet-untitled album. The follow-up to 2008's acclaimed "Eidolon" is scheduled to be released in early 2010 via Century Media Records.

Commented V. Santura: "The recordings are going very smooth so far and the drums sound just fantastic. Seraph is doing a really great job. This time we are aiming for a more natural and dynamic sound in order to keep all musical details, a certain raw dirt and personality that most modern productions lack of. Our upcoming album is going to be very diverse and probably the heaviest material we ever wrote."

Reunited Norwegian black metallers IMMORTAL will release their new album, "All Shall Fall", in North America on October 6 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD, which will be issued in Europe on September 25, was recorded at Grieghallen and Abyss studios in Norway and Sweden, respectively.
