Now Nokturnal Mortum is finishing the work with new album “The Voice of Steel”.

German progressive black metallers SECRETS OF THE MOON will release their new album, "Privilegivm", in September via Prophecy Productions. According to the band, the CD "was mastered by Peter in De Betou in Stockholm at Tailor Maid Production after weeks of mixing and endless listening sessions on car HiFi, headphones and monitor speakers."

"Privilegivm" was produced by Markus Stock and features the following track listing:

Columbia Records has confirmed a July 7th release date for the new album from Slayer. The band are currently in a Los Angeles, California studio putting the finishing touches to the follow-up to 2006's Christ Illusion which entered the Billboard 200 at #5 - the band's highest US chart position to date.

The first new track from the album - "Psychopathy Red" - was made available as a 7-inch vinyl disc on April 18th, as part of the third annual Record Store Day. Only 5,000 of these limited edition discs were manufactured worldwide. The blood-red vinyl 'Psychopathy Red' 7-inch collectors item will be packaged in a special Russian crime scene "evidence envelope," as the song was inspired by the heinous Russian serial killer Andrei Chikatilo, aka the Rostov Ripper, who confessed to brutally murdering 56 children. The song was recorded by the band - guitarists Kerry King and Jeff Hanneman, bassist/vocalist Tom Araya, and drummer Dave Lombardo - in a Los Angeles recording studio last October.

This new mini album in praise of Intoxication and Possession will have 2 brand new Urfaust songs:"IX : Der Einsiedler" and "Verderber"

Both songs where recorded under the Moon of Acid '09 by Urfaust with the assistance of Deportator and will mark a new era of Urfaust!!! The sound will be something totally Urfaust: old school, but with some new elements!




This mini album will be released by Ván Records (Germany) on cd and vinyl format. There will be a special die-hard edition for the vinyl! Killer artwork for this entrancing album was provided by Tony R and he did an insane job!

"Einsiedler" will be released in a few weeks!!!

Steingrim Torson, the 25-year-old vocalist of the Norwegian black metal band CELESTIAL BLOODSHED, died late Thursday night (April 30-May 1) of a shotgun wound to the stomach. A 20-year-old male, who has been described by the Norwegian media as Torson's "best friend," has been indicted for murder but reportedly maintains that the shooting was an accident.

The 20-year-old suspect "has no explanation of how the gun went off," his attorney, Morten Aalberg, told VG Nett. He told the police that the shot was fired at close range and that Torson fell backwards, but he can't recall any other details of the fatal episode, which happened in the suspect's apartment in Byåsen, a district in the city of Trondheim, Norway.

"Witness accounts and technical findings at the scene suggest that a murder was committed," police inspector Alf Rune Nilsen told VG Nett.

The news of Torson's death has shocked black metal scene in Trondheim, where the singer also resided. Adresseavisen on Saturday described Torson as a talented vocalist — and a warm and loyal friend.

"He always had time for people and was a pleasure to work with," said longtime pal Håkon Dalen.

NEGURA BUNGET, the Romanian band that incorporates elements of black metal, progressive metal, folk metal and dark ambient, ahs released the following statement:

"This has to be one of the most difficult messages to be written. We are sorry to announce that Hupogrammos [guitars, vocals, bass, keyboards, archaic instruments] and Sol Faur [guitar] have ended their journey along NEGURA BUNGET. Our paths are now apart. We wish them all the best on their new endeavors (their new project will be announced at a later time). Meanwhile, a new NEGURA BUNGET lineup is assembled, which will continue the path started almost 15 years ago. Rest assured, we are keen to prove there is more to be said by this band, and we will work to fulfill our spiritual endeavor relentlessly.

"All NEGURA BUNGET scheduled plans (concerts, festivals, contracts with Aural Music/Code666 Records and Prophecy Productions/Lupus Lounge) will be completed in the new formula. New web site and MySpace page are developed and will soon be online."

Hupogrammos and Sol Faur have released the following statement regarding their departure from NEGURA BUNGET: "We would like to thank everybody who supported and believed in NEGURA BUNGET and invite you to follow our further musical activities."

As the band's fans know, Ukrainian folk metallers DRUDKH follow a policy of "no photos, no interviews, no website, no gigs". In DRUDKH's opinion, the music of the band tells everything. The band's silence isn't disrespectful for the listener, it just follows the idea that the musicians should prove their talent with their music, lyrics and design only. They accept their activity as a pure form of art, so the band members just don't want to use cheap (in their opinion) tricks like popularization of the band's name.

However, in agreement with the band, Season of Mist recently created a DRUDKH MySpace page which, though run by the label, is 100% official. Please note this is the only DRUDKH Internet page to be approved by the band. The address is www.myspace.com/drudkhofficial.
