Dutch doom death metal legends ASPHYX have completed work on their new studio album, "Deathhammer", for a February 27, 2012 release in Europe and February 28, 2012 in North America via Century Media Records.

The cover artwork for "Deathhammer" was created by ASPHYX's longtime partner in designs, Axel Hermann. Hermann not only worked on all of the early ASPHYX artworks and most recently on their "Live Death Doom" release, but is also responsible for many of the classic Century Media artworks by bands like MORGOTH, UNLEASHED, SAMAEL and GRAVE.

Commented ASPHYX's Martin van Drunen: "ASPHYX and Axel Hermann is a fusion that has always functioned perfectly… from the days of 'The Rack' back in 1991, 'till 'Deathhammer' in 2012. Like others such as Dan Swanö, Axel may be considered as an external member of the band and when we asked him to do the 'Deathhammer' cover — and as usual we would leave him free in his expression — we were very pleased to hear he was willing to take it on. …And the man has exceeded himself! To the perfect death metal album comes the perfect cover that still leaves enough to everyone's imagination. We hope he is as proud as we are on the final result. It seems all falls into place for this deathdozer of an album. I guess Axel can expect an offer from Le Louvre any time now."

Added Hermann: "A cover is the visual extension of an album that translates music and emotional intentions (or should I say aggression) into a clear statement of what to expect before taking the record off the shelf. In seldom cases you're ending up with two perfect sides of the same coin. With ASPHYX and myself, it has always and luckily been that case. And I am really proud of that! Show 'em death and hit them with a hammer…visually and musically! Guess, we flipped the coin once more!?"

Recorded at The Mörser Studio as well as at Harrow Studio with ASPHYX's longtime engineer Harry Wijering, "Deathhammer" was mixed and mastered in Sweden by Dan Swanö, who previously worked with the band on "Death…The Brutal Way" and "Live Death Doom" releases. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Reign Of The Brute", "Vespa Cabro", "We Doom You To Death", "Asphyx-Minefield" and "Deathhammer".

Swedish black metallers NAGLFAR have completed work on their sixth album, "Téras", for a March 2012 release via Century Media Records. The drum tracks on the CD were laid down by Dirk Verbeuren (SOILWORK).

A brand new track, "Pale Horse", is available for streaming in the YouTube clip below.

After over 220 shows in support of the hightly acclaimed Wormwood album and the Iron Dawn ep, the touring cycle has come to an end with the participation of the Hatefest tour. Marduk is currently in the studio recording the next album set for a spring release through Blooddawn/Century media. The album will be followed by a massive touring campaign. 11 years have passed since the “In Days Of Yore” demo. It was released in 2000, and in the same year I composed an album’s worth of new songs. We split up shortly after, I didn’t plan to release them, but as the years passed by I started to feel that I won’t be able move on until I record these songs. So I finished the 40 minutes long album entitled “Kindgom”, which is the fulfilment of the path we stepped on with our demo.

Christicide sophomore album "Upheaval of the soul" is now recorded.

The album consists of 6 songs for a total length of approximately 45 minutes.
Tracklist is as follow :

1 - Upheaval of the soul
2 - Black knowledge
3 - Solitude with the Devil
4 - I was able to guess
5 - Demon’s breath
6 - Ominous numinous

The vinyl version, as usual, will be released on Of Crawling Shadows Records.
The CD version will be a cooperation between Those Opposed Records, who will carry the distribution in Europe, and Hospital Production,
who will carry the distribution in America. A tape version will follow later, on Hospital production.

There is no release date yet. More informations will be posted on this website when needed.

We are extremely proud to announce one of our most ambitious releases thus far, containing recordings that shaped the history of Black Metal as a genre (namely the infamous demos from 1993 and 1994) and a new interpretation of “Channelling the Quintessence of Satan”, revisited over a decade later. The transfiguration is of radical nature while preserving, actually enhancing, the original spirit. "Subterfuge", a brand new song from the legendary grindcore act TERRORIZER, can be streamed using the SoundCloud player below. Clocking in just shy of two minutes, the track is "packed with TERRORIZER's signature crushing riffs and relentless blast beats," according to a press release.

"Subterfuge" comes off TERRORIZER's new album, "Hordes Of Zombies", which will be released in North America on February 28 via the French label Season Of Mist.
