Atmospheric (almost Ambient), Neo-Classical Black Metal, steeped in occult tradition, and filled with arrogance and elitism. Not only do we find compositions executed to an impressive level of technical skill, but this mysterious opus overflows with obscure pathos and Faustian inspiration, emanating a sense of sorrowful misanthropism and cosmological wisdom. Coming out of nowhere, this is one of the most impressive albums we have ever heard from a previously unknown entity. Absolutely addictive.

Recorded at Nightsky Studio, the CD has a 12-page full color booklet with artwork by Ron Miller, who is best known for his work as the production illustrator for the movie "Dune". The CD will also be available as a free download at AuroraBorealis.org in late February courtesy of Nightsky Productions and AURORA BOREALIS.

"Timeline: The Beginning And End Of Everything", which was produced by the band's guitarist/vocalist Ron Vento, marks the recording debut of drummer Mark Green. It will consist of nine tracks and two narratives. The album is a conceptual effort that starts from the beginning of all existence and continues through until the very end of universe and the eventual retraction and rebirth of it all.

LÖNNDOM - returns

Seth explains: "This is a small fragment of the artwork that will dress the new artistic experiment of SEPTICFLESH, 'The Great Mass'. It is a small part of an occult machine made from marble and flesh, fantasy and reality, order and chaos. A great machine composed from the blasphemous union of strange figures, creations of Man, the creator of the gods and demons. Their grotesque purpose will be revealed soon, when all the cover editions of the new album will be presented and will be combined together… Let the great self-cannibalistic symposium begin."

Norwegian symphonic black metallers DIMMU BORGIR will perform one very exclusive show with a special, never-to-be-repeated setlist with 53 members of KORK (the Norwegian Radio Orchestra) and 30 members of the Schola Cantorum Choir, who were musical guests on the band's ninth studio album, "Abrahadabra".

For fans of DIMMU's Wagnerian-inspired majesty, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the Oslo Spektrum in Norway promises to be a momentous once-in-a-lifetime experience, as this is the band's only confirmed worldwide appearance throughout the summer.

DIMMU BORGIR guitarist Silenoz states: "It is with great pride and a sense of fulfillment that we can finally announce this event as yet another ambition becomes reality!" Vocalist Shagrath adds: "Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen. DIMMU BORGIR makes it happen. The circle will now be complete."

Tickets go on sale on Monday, February 21 for 570 Norwegian kroner at this location. Only 150 V.I.P. tickets (1,500 Norwegian kroner each) will be available, which will include a meet-and-greet with the band one hour before doors, free tapas and beer, and a view of the entire performance from a special riser. Doors are at 6:30 p.m. (18:30). Showtime is 8 p.m. (20:00).

J. a écrit:Pour finir, une news sur le groupe suédois Leviathan. Roger "Phycon" Markström vient de réactiver son projet. Pour mettre les choses au clair, Roger "Phycon" Markström est le fondateur du Leviathan suédois, l'album "Far Beyond The Light" a été entièrement composé et enregistré (Necromorbus studio) par cet homme sauf un riff. Sir A. (ex-Armagedda) n'était là que pour l'assister et l'aider pendant l'enregistrement au niveau des guitares.
"Phycon" a dans l'idée de sortir un deuxième album, une paire de chansons est déjà composée, mais comme il me l'a dit lui même, cela ne reste qu' un projet et rien n'est encore fait.

Demonaz Occulta (real name: Harald Nævdal), the once-guitarist and chief lyricist for the Norwegian black metal veterans IMMORTAL, will release his first solo album, "March Of The Norse", on April 1 in Europe via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD will be available as a CD-digi, regular LP and picture-disc LP.

SARKE, the Norwegian band featuring Sarke (real name: Thomas Bergli; KHOLD, TULUS, OLD MAN'S CHILD, SENSA ANIMA) and Nocturno Culto (DARKTHRONE), will release its sophomore album, "Oldarhian", on April 15 via Indie Recordings.

In 2009, Bergli joined forces with Nocturno Culto and Anders Hunstad (EL CACO, AUTOPULVER) on keyboards to release the debut SARKE album called "Vorunah". It was a mesmerizing journey through dark and soothing soundscapes, musically inspired by the legends like MAYHEM, SLAYER, DARKTHRONE, CELTIC FROST, BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS, DEATH, MOTÖRHEAD and KREATOR. "Vorunah" received great feedback from both press and the fans alike and Sarke thus decided to do live shows. He put together an impressive lineup, featuring Cyrus (SUSPERIA, DIMMU BORGIR) and Steinar Gundersen (SATYRICON, SPIRAL ARCHITECT) on guitars and Asgeir Mickelson (SPIRAL ARCHITECT, ex-BORKNAGAR) on drums. The band played successful shows at festivals like Inferno, Hole In The Sky, Party.San, Brutal Assault and Ragnarok, to name but afew.

On "Oldarhian" SARKE is still inspired by the great rock bands from the '70s, the death and thrash metal of the '80s, and the '90s black metal. The CD was recorded in Oslo at H-10 Productions the old-fashioned way, and continues the formula from the debut album: dark, epic and groovy.

Commented Sarke: "Our music is inspired by the great '70s rock bands, '80s speed metal bands and '90s black metal bands. Put this together with the creative mind of the band and your get pure dark rock music sounding is clear, raw and honest."

Added Nocturno Culto: "What an album! We can now act like six real rock stars and attention-seeking brats."

DEMONICAL, the Swedish death metal band featuring past and present members from CENTINEX, GRAVE, REGURGITATE, INTERMENT, AMARAN, WORLD BELOW and DELLAMORTE, will release its third album, "Death Infernal", on April 15 via Germany's Cyclone Empire Records. The CD was recorded, mixed and mastered at Necromorbus Studio (WATAIN, UNANIMATED, DESTRÖYER 666) in Alvik, Sweden under the watchful eye of DEMONICAL frontman Sverker Widgren. Other individuals taking part in the creation of "Death Infernal" were Costin Chioreanu of Twilight 13 Media and photographer Soile Siirtola.

According to a press release, "Death Infernal" will be "a lethal dose of fast Stockholm-style old-school death metal mixed with more epic and cold elements, hence creating the most deadly and victorious soundtrack for the upcoming downfall of Mother Earth."

Simple, I think you will admit, but definitely one that we argued least about through all the years, dark, macabre and beautiful it perfectly portrays the themes of the new album, which I will get into shortly."

Nemtheanga about the recordings: "So how does it compare? For the first time I guess we felt a little pressure. Before 'To The Nameless Dead' we had always been a niche band, a critic's choice, but following 'To The Nameless Dead' we moved a little more centre stage.

"Expectations, my friends, expectations! Yes, it contains rabble-rousers and hooks and choruses, memorable themes and dynamics but also it has darkness in spades. It has grit, filth and foreboding. Dark sweeping tragedy as always mixed with blood stirring defiance!

"The recording, of course, was booked during what has turned out to be one of the worst winters in living memory in Europe. Leaving Ireland at -15 to travel to a -20 Wales, trudging through feet of snow, slipping on black ice and basically having our bollix frozen off for three weeks left me thinking next time I'm going to record in the Bahamas and fake all this grimness. For good measure, I got what looking back must have been swine flu recording the vocals. In fact, some I can't remember recording, I was so out of my head on painkillers and energy drinks. Suffering for your art is overrated, believe me."
