Sorvali previously stated about the follow-up to 2007's "Ur Jordens Djup". "I personally think this will be our best album ever. Overall I can sense there's a lot 'punk' on it, lots of weirdness, a load of *riffs* instead of chord progressions, quite a bit of folkish parts and a lurking, evil atmosphere. In the terms of 'heaviness,' it's probably the heaviest album we've done, at least judging from the song material. I could pretty much safely say this sounds like a meaner and more wicked version of 'Ur Jordens Djup' with an occasional hint of the first album."

Finntroll vient de terminer l'enregistrement de son nouvel album. Le groupe annonce un album bien heavy avec plus de touches folks et des atmosphères plus sombres. Le nouvel opus devrait voir le jour courant 2010, via Century Media.

The album will ship on December 7.

Californian thrashers SLAYER have issued the following update:

"It is with immense disappointment that SLAYER must postpone its U.K. and European tour that had been set to kick off on November 18 in the U.K., and take the band on 19 dates through Europe, ending on December 17 in Germany. The tour will be rescheduled to kick off on March 7 in Manchester, England (complete itinerary is below).

"Vocalist/bassist Tom Araya has been under the care of a specialist for a back injury, and while he has already made substantial improvement, he is continuing on with doctor-prescribed treatment."

"Right now," said SLAYER's manager, Rick Sales, "our main concern must be the full and permanent recovery of Tom, so we have decided to clear the calendar and give him the extra time he needs to concentrate solely on good health."

Last week, SLAYER announced the postponement of its East Coast "Canadian Carnage" co-headline tour with MEGADETH; those dates will be rescheduled in February 2010.
