Je vais peut être briser les illusions de certains, mais non, les Grands du Metal tels que Jeff Becerra de POSSESSED, Peter Vicar de REVEREND BIZARRE, Ron Holzner de TROUBLE ou Chris Reifert d'AUTOPSY ne se nourissent pas uniquement de haine et de bière fraîche !

C'est ce que le montréalait Annick Giroux, fondateur du fanzine Morbid Tales ( http://morbidtales.ca/about.htm), a tenté de prouver en lançant le projet (un peu barré) d'un Metal Cookbook qui regrouperait la recette favoris et/ou représentative d'un gros paquet de groupes de metal extrème comme par exemple : THE OBSESSED, DESOLATION ANGELS, GOAT HORN, THOTH, EXCITER, ABIGAIL, MASTER, Lips of ANVIL, GATES OF SLUMBER, IMPALER, XIBALBA, COUNTESS, TROUBLE, REVEREND BIZARRE, Brazil’s HOLOCAUSTO, ROTTING CHRIST, ROOT, SABBAT, L’IMPERO DELLE OMBRE, NECROSADIST, MASTER’S HAMMER, PROCESSION, MORTAL SIN, ATOMIZER, WITCHES HAMMER, AUTOPSY, MELECHESH.

Annick Giroux s'exprime à propos de son concept:

“This is a quite crazy idea I got a few years ago; I started developing a certain obsession for cooking and thought that it would be nice to mix it with metal, because even metalheads have to eat to stay alive! So here are some alternatives to your usual beer and goat blood. All recipes in this book are either the band’s tried and tested favorite, or something they submitted that they feel represents them well. Bon appétit!”
